Hello and welcome back to our Crochet- along, where we hope we can visually help you along your way with your Fjord River Scarf.
You can download the pattern from issue 3 here…
Now comes the exciting bit! Now that you have all your motifs, you can start to have a little play with how your squares will fit together.
If you have any kit yarn left, why not continue until you have used up your yarn, but remember you will need some left overs for sewing up.
TIP: If you use all your yarn because your tension is a wee bit out, try using matching sewing thread (nobody but you will ever know!sssssssssssssshhhh!!!)
Try laying out your squares in a 2 small, then 1 large formation. Laying out first and taking a quick snap with a camera or phone will give you a reference when sewing together.
Laying out before you begin to sew will help prevent squares with all the same colours ending up in one section of your scarf.
Why not try sewing your pieces together in different ways- we have sewn ours to make an unusual shaped end.
You could try a straight edged Scarf or sew them to make a thin long or even a wider shorter cowl.
Please send us your images of your Scarf or other projects you have made using this motif; we would love to see them.
Find out next week our tips to help you sew together your pieces.
