Our latest issue is on sale today!
I’ve been looking forward to this issue for weeks. The Magic Roundabout was one of my favourite TV programmes as a child, and I’m beyond thrilled that we have patterns for five of the characters in this issue. I admit that I squealed when I first saw Zebedee – hasn’t Sachi done an incredible job with the design? Take your pick from Ermintrude and Florence (crocheted), and Brian and Dougal (knitted) too.
The bold colours continue throughout the patterns in this issue – and this time, you’ll have noticed you have 10 balls of yarn instead of eight. Will you knit both toy cameras by Louise Watling? Or perhaps crochet a set of stacking baskets for your dressing table?
Maybe you’ll be inspired by our geometric cushion, or fancy making the colourful baby set.
We may not have reached September yet, but as those of you who like making gifts for others will know, the sooner you start crafting for Christmas the better! With this in mind we’re easing you into the festive season with some very sweet crocheted and knitted toys.
I particularly like the idea of crocheted bunting – it’ll last a lot longer than the usual paper and is much cuter!
Finally, we have an interview with the talented Susan Carlson from Felted Button, as well as the second parts of our crochet-along and Learn to Knit with TOFT series. We know many of you like to stretch your skills, and both these projects give you the chance to try something different. What other techniques would you like to try? Write or email and I’ll see what I can do.
Happy crocheting and knitting!
